1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the website of VOLT X Estimating Services Inc. ("VOLT X," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to these Terms of Use.
These Terms govern the use of our website. Paid estimating services are governed by a separate Estimating Services Agreement, accepted quotation, or other written contractual arrangement.
2. Our Services
VOLT X provides professional electrical estimating services, including electrical quantity takeoffs, detailed estimates, bid reviews, project-based estimating, and ongoing estimating support.
Services are subject to project requirements, availability, and acceptance by VOLT X.
Information on this website does not constitute a binding quotation, guarantee, or offer to perform services.
3. Quotation Requests
Submitting a quotation request does not create a contractual relationship or obligate VOLT X to accept a project.
A binding engagement is established only when the parties agree to the applicable scope of work, fees, and contractual terms.
VOLT X reserves the right to decline projects, subject to applicable law.
4. Customer Documentation and Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and current project information, including drawings, specifications, addenda, schedules, and relevant technical documentation.
Customers must have authorization to share all submitted documents.
VOLT X may rely on information supplied by customers when preparing estimates.
VOLT X is not responsible for inaccuracies resulting from incomplete, incorrect, outdated, or undisclosed project information, except to the extent attributable to VOLT X's own failure to exercise reasonable care.
5. Estimating Accuracy and Professional Standards
VOLT X will use reasonable professional care and competence when preparing estimates within the agreed scope of services.
Estimates are prepared using available project documentation, applicable assumptions, and information reasonably available at the time of preparation.
Estimates represent professional assessments rather than guarantees of final construction costs.
Actual project costs may differ due to labor productivity, material pricing, project conditions, market changes, design revisions, and other factors.
6. Client Review and Final Bid Responsibility
All estimates prepared by VOLT X are provided for customer review and verification before submission as a tender, bid, quotation, or construction proposal.
The customer is responsible for:
- Reviewing the completed estimate.
- Verifying applicable labor rates and productivity assumptions.
- Confirming material pricing and supplier quotations.
- Reviewing overhead, profit margins, contingencies, and markups.
- Confirming that the estimate reflects the intended project scope.
- Determining the final bid or tender price.
- Approving and submitting the final bid.
The customer retains responsibility for its final commercial decisions, bid submission, and performance of any resulting construction contract.
VOLT X does not guarantee that an estimate will result in a successful bid, a particular profit margin, or a specific construction outcome.
Customer review and approval do not automatically release VOLT X from liability for its own negligent performance or breach of an applicable service agreement.
7. Corrections and Revisions
Revision requests, estimating corrections, drawing changes and addenda are handled case by case under the accepted quotation or service agreement. That contract defines included work, fees, timing, review rounds and any effect on monthly capacity. No standard free-revision allowance or reporting deadline is offered on this website.
Confirm the applicable correction, revision and change-approval provisions in writing before the engagement begins. The accepted contract governs the particular project or monthly arrangement, subject to applicable law.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, liability arising from paid estimating services will be governed by the applicable Estimating Services Agreement.
Such agreements may limit VOLT X's aggregate liability to the fees paid or payable for the specific estimating engagement giving rise to the claim.
Any limitation of liability will be subject to applicable law and the express terms of the relevant agreement.
VOLT X does not assume responsibility for the customer's final bid price, contractual commitments, or construction performance merely because the customer used an estimate prepared by VOLT X.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Confidential Project Information
VOLT X recognizes that construction drawings, specifications, pricing information, and tender documentation may contain confidential business information.
Project documents should be exchanged through methods approved by VOLT X, including invitation-based Google Drive folders where applicable.
Customers retain ownership of their submitted documents.
Confidentiality obligations associated with paid services will be governed by the applicable Estimating Services Agreement.
10. Xkey AiE Technology Partnership
Xkey AiE is the Official Estimating Technology Partner of VOLT X Estimating Services Inc. under a paid commercial partnership.
VOLT X uses Xkey AiE technology to support electrical estimating. VOLT X operates independently and remains responsible for the professional services it contracts to provide.
VOLT X uses Xkey AiE software to prepare electrical estimates. For certain contracts, a client may request a separate Xkey AiE account for access to its estimating work and a later transfer. Where the contract includes this arrangement, VOLT X holds the account and pays the monthly subscription as part of the services agreement until transfer is requested. Client access, the transfer process, subscription responsibility and project-record handling are defined in the contract and applicable Xkey AiE terms.

The website may link to third-party websites and services.
VOLT X is not responsible for independently operated third-party websites or their privacy practices.
14. Website Disclaimer

VOLT X does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the accuracy of all general website information.
These disclaimers do not replace obligations expressly undertaken under a separate Estimating Services Agreement.
15. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with the VOLT X Privacy Policy.
Privacy inquiries may be directed to info@voltxestimating.com.
16. Governing Law
Subject to mandatory applicable legal requirements, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Nothing in these Terms removes legal rights or protections that cannot lawfully be waived.
17. Dispute Resolution
The parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution of disputes before commencing formal proceedings.
Where legally permitted and enforceable, unresolved disputes arising from website use will be submitted to binding arbitration in Delaware, United States, under procedures to be specified in the applicable agreement.
Where arbitration is unavailable or unenforceable, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Delaware courts, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
18. Changes to Terms
VOLT X may update these Terms periodically.
Updated Terms will be posted on the website with a revised effective date.
Changes to existing paid service agreements will be governed by those agreements.
19. Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
