VOLT X Electrical Estimating
VOLT X / ELECTRICAL ESTIMATING

Fractional Electrical Estimating Services

FOR RECURRING ESTIMATING CUSTOMER / UNITED STATES & CANADA

Fractional electrical estimating is a recurring service arrangement for an agreed portion of your estimating workload. VOLT X and your team define available capacity, task allocation, pricing responsibilities and review rules; it is not an unlimited subscription or an employment placement.

01 / A CLEAR ENGAGEMENT

Define a representative monthly workload

Provide project types, typical document size, expected frequency and overlapping deadlines. Agree how workload is assessed and scheduled. A project count alone may not describe the effort required when scope, document maturity and alternates differ.

02 / A CLEAR ENGAGEMENT

Make intake and prioritization a repeatable process

Name the person authorized to assign work, submit current documents and approve changes. Agree how competing deadlines are prioritized and when VOLT X confirms acceptance of each assignment. Reserved capacity does not remove the need for project-specific scope control.

03 / A CLEAR ENGAGEMENT

Keep capacity billing separate from construction costs

Revision requests, estimating corrections, drawing changes and addenda are handled case by case under the accepted quotation or service agreement. That contract defines included work, fees, timing, review rounds and any effect on monthly capacity. No standard free-revision allowance or reporting deadline is offered on this website.

04 / A CLEAR ENGAGEMENT

Agree the internal review role

Even with ongoing support, your company needs a named reviewer to resolve scope questions, approve pricing inputs and set the final bid. Include time for that review in the work schedule. VOLT X independently manages its estimating services using Xkey AiE.

05 / A CLEAR ENGAGEMENT

Treat accounts and transition as separate contractual provisions

VOLT X uses Xkey AiE software to prepare electrical estimates. For certain contracts, a client may request a separate Xkey AiE account for access to its estimating work and a later transfer. Where the contract includes this arrangement, VOLT X holds the account and pays the monthly subscription as part of the services agreement until transfer is requested. Client access, the transfer process, subscription responsibility and project-record handling are defined in the contract and applicable Xkey AiE terms.

COMMON BUYER QUESTIONS

Before you commission the work.

Does fractional mean a full-time estimator assigned to us?

No. The agreement defines a recurring portion of work and capacity; do not assume an exclusive full-time resource.

What if we exceed monthly capacity?

Discuss the additional scope and schedule. Extra charges require approval before work proceeds.

Can I start with one project first?

Yes, you can discuss a separate fixed-fee project engagement before deciding whether recurring support suits your pipeline.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Choose the scope. Agree the handoff.

Tell Liam the project location, requested support and bid deadline with time zone. You can request CAD or USD; the written proposal confirms currency, deliverables, fee and schedule. After reviewing the brief, we will invite designated contacts to a Google Drive folder for drawings and specifications. Do not submit drawings through this website.

Xkey AiE Powered Estimates. VOLT X independently manages the estimating service, quality control and client relationship. Project capacity, account arrangements and deliverables are defined in the accepted contract; no bid or profit outcome is guaranteed.
