VOLT X / ELECTRICAL ESTIMATING

Electrical Estimating for Growing Contractors

FOR GROWING ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR / UNITED STATES & CANADA

VOLT X helps growing electrical contractors discuss recurring estimating support around an active pipeline. Define capacity, work allocation and review responsibilities now, with an optional contractual pathway toward in-house estimating when your company is ready.

01 / A CLEAR ENGAGEMENT

Plan capacity from the pipeline you actually have

List expected project types, document volume, overlapping deadlines and review needs. A monthly arrangement should specify what capacity is reserved and how work enters the queue. It does not mean unlimited projects, a full-time dedicated employee or automatic acceptance of urgent work.

02 / A CLEAR ENGAGEMENT

Give recurring work a repeatable brief

Use a consistent document register, scope summary, supplier-input process and named reviewer. Define who approves new work and how changes affect allocation. Consistent handoffs let you evaluate the service without rebuilding the responsibilities on every project.

03 / A CLEAR ENGAGEMENT

Separate monthly fees from project assumptions

Revision requests, estimating corrections, drawing changes and addenda are handled case by case under the accepted quotation or service agreement. That contract defines included work, fees, timing, review rounds and any effect on monthly capacity. No standard free-revision allowance or reporting deadline is offered on this website.

04 / A CLEAR ENGAGEMENT

Evaluate the dedicated-account option carefully

VOLT X uses Xkey AiE software to prepare electrical estimates. For certain contracts, a client may request a separate Xkey AiE account for access to its estimating work and a later transfer. Where the contract includes this arrangement, VOLT X holds the account and pays the monthly subscription as part of the services agreement until transfer is requested. Client access, the transfer process, subscription responsibility and project-record handling are defined in the contract and applicable Xkey AiE terms.

05 / A CLEAR ENGAGEMENT

Plan a tested transition rather than assuming an automatic transfer

When you request a transfer, VOLT X coordinates the handoff under your contract and applicable Xkey AiE terms. Agree the transfer date, account administration, billing, access and project-record handling. Optional VOLT X overflow services can be agreed separately.

COMMON BUYER QUESTIONS

Before you commission the work.

Is monthly estimating unlimited?

No. The agreement defines capacity, work allocation, scheduling and fees.

Will I automatically own a working Xkey AiE account?

If you request a client-specific Xkey AiE account under an eligible contract, VOLT X holds and pays for it until transfer is requested. The contract defines your access and the transfer arrangements; a separate client account is not required for all estimating services.

Can we keep VOLT X after hiring internally?

You can discuss separate overflow support with agreed scope, capacity and review responsibilities.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Choose the scope. Agree the handoff.

Tell Liam the project location, requested support and bid deadline with time zone. You can request CAD or USD; the written proposal confirms currency, deliverables, fee and schedule. After reviewing the brief, we will invite designated contacts to a Google Drive folder for drawings and specifications. Do not submit drawings through this website.

Xkey AiE Powered Estimates. VOLT X independently manages the estimating service, quality control and client relationship. Project capacity, account arrangements and deliverables are defined in the accepted contract; no bid or profit outcome is guaranteed.
